According to the annual international National Brand Index conducted by Anholt-Gfk Roper, Sweden is the only Nordic country on the top ten list. 20 000 people in 50 countries were asked how they rank countries when it comes to export, tourism, population, investments, and government. The index then shows what global reputation a country has.
What’s new this year, is that England has passed France and is now third on the list. Dagens Industri reports that might be because of successes with film, music and literature. Apart from that, the top ten of this year’s list looks almost the same as it did last year. Australia has climbed up one step and Switzerland has taken a step back.
The gap between number one (USA) and number two (Germany) has widened a bit due to great American innovations and good business opportunities. Top ten looks like this:
1. USA
2. Germany
3. England
4. France
5. Japan
6. Canada
7. Italy
8. Australia
9. Switzerland
10. Sweden.
